Uploading Guidelines

The purpose of the CDF Media Library is to be a storage place for photos and videos and audios used in media projects by Colombo Dhamma Friends. As well, it is a storage for photo images created and to be shared on social media.

Only upload media that is not copyrighted in any way.

Photos, audio and video you find on the web by doing google searches should not be uploaded here. They are usually protected by copyright.

Possible types of acceptable media are

1. Original photos you have taken yourself
2. Original audio or video recordings you have created from scratch
3. Media you have downloaded that is 100% Public Domain or CC0

Only upload the very best photos. Don’t upload very similar photos.

Don’t upload 300 photos from the last event at your asapwua! Instead, share the very best images you have.

Only upload photos that will be useful for future projects.

This is not a general place to store photos. It is only for photos that will be useful for future media or teaching projects. If you are not sure, please contact the librarians before uploading lots of photos.

Always upload the highest resolution images you have.

We only want to store the highest resolution images. Try to upload the originals. As well, don’t crop before uploading since some projects may need more space on the image.
